LeadDev Bookmarked

[Postponement] To make space for the important conversations taking place to support the Black community, we’ve postponed the June edition of LeadDev Bookmarked. We'll update registrants with a new date as soon as it's scheduled.

Welcome to LeadDev Bookmarked, a monthly book club for engineering leaders. We'll read a new book each month, discuss what we've learned and how it applies to our roles, then get together on the first Tuesday for a live discussion and Q&A with our guest author.

About this month's book and author

Talking with Tech Leads is a book for Tech Leads, from Tech Leads. Discover how more than 35 Tech Leads find the delicate balance between the technical and non-technical worlds. Discover the challenges a Tech Lead faces and how to overcome them. You may be surprised by the lessons they have to share.

Patrick Kua is a seasoned technology leader with almost 20 years of experience. His personal passion is accelerating the growth and success of tech organisations and technical leaders. He has had many years of hands-on experience, leading, managing and improving complex organisations and software systems as the CTO and Chief Scientist of N26 (Berlin, Germany) and as a Technical Principal Consultant at ThoughtWorks.

He is a frequent keynote and conference speaker, author of three books including The Retrospective Handbook, Talking with Tech Leads and Building Evolutionary Architectures and runs the popular newsletter for leaders in tech, "Level Up".
